I am about to finish my TEFL certificate and have excelled in my studies. I am currently working with a college graduate from Brazil who is in the process of learning English, tutoring her within her studies. I have frequently worked with teenagers in a volunteer position within my church youth program. In working with ESL learners, I have learned how to help them feel comfortable making mistakes so that they can learn and grow. I like to take the diversity that accompanies an ESL class and use it to help students learn from each other and create mutual respect and appreciation for their peers. I found that the time I have spent in running and managing my own small business has helped me learn to manage a class well.
