I'm an experienced writer, editor, and content strategist with an expertise in art and culture. I've worked across digital and print platforms as part of communications, marketing, and editorial teams. In my most recent full-time role as Managing Editor at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, I helped plan and create the Foundation's digital content initiatives. Previously, I was Global Digital Editor at Sotheby's, where my job was a hybrid of editorial and marketing. I planned, edited, and wrote digital content to promote sales and brand awareness as well as created integrated content for luxury and lifestyle brand partners. I was also executive editor of Sotheby's print magazine.Previously I was deputy editor of Interview and executive editor of Art+Auction. My writing has appeared in The New Yorker, WSJ. magazine, W magazine, T magazine online, Artforum, Modern Painters, Time Out New York, and more, and I've contributed essays to exhibition catalogues for the Saatchi Gallery, as well as the Guggenheim and other museums. My favorite assignments are those for which I interviewed artists about what they do. I've been lucky enough to speak with painters, sculptors, conceptualists, photographers, and designers such as Sophie Calle, Kristin Baker, Angel Otero, Wendell Castle, Justine Kurland, Arlene Shechet, Jacolby Satterwhite, Ali Banisadr, and Joep van Lieshout.I trained as an art historian and completed my PhD coursework at the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
