As an intern for Al-Hurra News, I worked full time as a video editor and researcher for the Maghreb media department, "Maghreb Voices". My day to day included pitching original video or article ideas on the topics of Maghrebi politics and culture, conducting research, translating, editing and uploading videos to the social media page, as well as additional tasks for the Maghreb department. This job was conducted fully in Modern Standard Arabic.

At The Seagull Association in Salé, Morocco, I worked as an English Teacher for beginning English students from ages 5-15, many of whom are learning the language as their third or fourth language. Teaching English to students who have no or little prior experience in the language, and coming from an Arabic/Darija perspective, makes the learning curve hard. However, this job allowed me to work hard on my teaching skills in Arabic and taught me the value of successful learning plans.

As an intern for Resilient Communities, I assisted my superiors with employing environmentally friendly waste management projects in rural Morocco. In this capacity, I planned conference workshops and gave presentations in a mixture of Arabic and English, translated reports, wrote grant proposals, and managed social media profiles. This job has instilled in me the values of international infrastructure aid and has taught me the skills of developing and managing a non-governmental organization.

I spent the summer of 2018 working as an assistant to a lawyer in Arlington, where I gained experience aiding the needs of judicial employees, reviewing various sources for relevant information on cases, and carrying out a range of technical and office support activities.
