Responsible for playing a lead role in advancing geospatial capacity, analysis and workflows within WCS Canada through the development of custom geospatial solutions and scripting of novel workflows. In this role I plan and lead geospatial analysis and programming projects in Python and R, and I also lead the development of geospatial science communications products.I meet these responsibilities through geospatial analysis, development of custom tools and scripts, creating web maps, web apps and other geospatial communications products, writing peer-reviewed publications, providing advice, mentorship and technical training, and promoting the adoption of new technologies.Tasks:• Provide innovative custom geospatial solutions to advance the conservation objectives for local and national conservation programs.• Leverage geospatial tools and implement best practices to strengthen WCS Canada’s conservation research.• Develop and support the use of Story Maps and other web-based mapping applications for external information sharing and communications.• Provide high level geospatial support and leadership to WCS Canada.• Collaborate with partners utilizing geospatial technologies to achieve mutually beneficial conservation outcomes.

Attributed landscape and field-measured variables (surficial geology, base flow index, stream slope, fish catches and weights) to the individual watersheds. Analyzed, generated and validated geometric networks of stream flow in the Lake Simcoe region using ESRI Network Analyst. Compiled and validated a series of maps and metadata documents on stream habitat in the Greater Toronto Area using data from Conservation Authorities and the Flowing Waters Information System (FWIS) database which was collected using the Ontario Stream Analysis Protocol (OSAP). Created specific maps of the Lake Simcoe watersheds, including: stream barriers, stream temperature, baseflow discharge and benthic communities to examine the cumulative effects on watersheds.
