I was born in Cleveland, OH but grew up in Phoenix, AZ. When I earned my B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Arizona State University, I became the first person in my family to graduate with a 4-year degree. I have been a coach and instructor for nearly 20 years in academic and non academic settings. Currently, I am the Manager of K-4 Mathematics for a high performing title 1 charter school in central Phoenix. I love working in highly diverse environments and believe every person deserves access to high quality instruction or development informed by the most up to date practices. My work as an educator is in service of dismantling systems of oppression, bias, or exclusivity. I commit to building relationships with friends, family, and colleagues that depend on compassion, honesty, and trust. Everybody deserves to be seen and supported in a way that allows them to develop and grow into their higher self. When I am not teaching, I keep my brain and body occupied with throwing pottery, yoga or acrobatics, and spending time with friends and family outdoors.
