Being a researcher myself I know where the pain points are when it comes to publishing a paper and going through the refereeing process. I drive Elsevier journals peer review strategy and transparency, recognition, as well as inclusion and diversity play central role in my projects. I also work in collaboration with reasearchers to study peer review as a scientific topic and prepare best practices and guidelines on how to improve the peer review process on an evidence-based manner.

I simultaneously managed four successful peer review projects at Elsevier. The biggest one in size and impact which initially started as a pilot but soon turned into a business-as-usual mode is the Reviewer recognition platform. The second one is publishing peer review reports on Science Direct with a unique DOI. I am also running projects on cross-reviewing and voluntary reviewing.

During my PhD period, I was working on open quantum systems.Open systems are defined as the ones which are interacting with their surrounding environment and are not completely isolated from the rest of the world. I modeled the interaction between a quantum system an its classical environment and studied the influence of the quantum one on the dynamics of its classical counterpart.
