Technical management and implementation of several projects related to radiation therapy cancer treatment.Gained experience in GPU parallel hardware design using OpenCL and CUDA, algorithm design, neural networks, image processing, FPGA RTL design, optimization, and sampling algorithms in the following projects:Designed, implemented, and tested a treatment planning system with GUI for Gamma Knife radiosurgery using specialized hardware and software systems and algorithms. Researcher clinicians at Toronto Western Hospital are currently deploying this solution.Working on high dimensional medical image datasets, modelled a dose calculation framework for radiotherapy devices.Using OpenCL, I developed a GPU-based high-performance Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) optimization engine. Collaborated on optimizing specialized hardware and software systems for rapidly solving complex combinatorial optimization problems using neural networks. Worked on parallel hardware architecture and algorithms on different platforms such as FPGAs, GPUs. Currently working on the “Digital Sampler”, an in-house dedicated hardware architecture aimed at sampling from and estimating the properties of complex statistical distributions with applications in machine learning and financial portfolio management.
