 Lead testing team for UMTS RF conformance testing.  Responsible for 3G RRM, 3G performance, 2G performance and TMO/ATT data throughput testing.  Verification of the conformity of handsets to 3GPP conformance specification 34.121 & 51.010 respectively and TMO/ATT Data throughput test specifications so that handset manufacturers can achieve GCF/PTCRB & carrier acceptance certification. Triage issues on physical layer, FW, RF & RRC layers of modem software, troubleshooting & debugging utilizing Qualcomm tools APEX/QXDM & test stations including Anritsu ME 7873, R&S CTRU RRM and TS8980. Analyze the modem performance degradation so that software enhancements can be done to resolve issues including RF, data throughput, handovers and cell reselection through code changes. Validation of new added test cases on conformance test equipment and raising issue with TE vendors. Handling and debugging of customer issues, reproduction of failed scenarios on customer handsets to resolve customer-blocking issues and support product commercialization. Planning and drafting test scenarios and cases for 3gpp as part of RAN5 contributions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, firmware, systems engineering & customer) to enhance the modem software quality through change requests for WCDMA and GSM. Impact analysis of new features on GCF test suite and testing of affected areas as part of feature testing.
