About Meighen Heyburn

Over the 17 combined years I have in the legal/litigation field as a legal assistant and my current role as director in claims management, I have worked with and for over 25 attorneys in 10 different practice areas. Currently, I manage data for asbestos and AFFF litigation claims for large companies in order to track, manage, recover funds from insurance policies, and provide assistance as a third party administrator in the management of the claims. I also assist in quarterly billing reporting and tracking of insurance payments and allocations.I pride myself in my ability to listen to what people are saying with their words but also the intention behind their words, and believe this makes me an exceptional teammate. I work diligently to relate to people of all personality types and am always willing to learn a new skill or task. I enjoy working independently but also with a team. I am smart, capable, teachable, quick to learn new tasks, quick to absorb new technology, and willing to step up to the plate when the need arises. I am comfortable managing people and find that my management style is similar to my teamwork style - find a way to build up and support them so they can succeed and exceed their own expectations.I hold a BA and MA in Political Science specializing in International Relations and am a Notary Public in the State of Ohio.
