The Mental Health and Wellness Facilitator is responsible for evaluating and providing comprehensive services to students, in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan, that will advance student health, wellness, and support structures in schools. Reports to the school principal. Assist in the development of a comprehensive mental health and wellness program designed to support the physical, social, emotional, and mental development of students, particularly as relates to reintegration of students into the learning environment.Establish and lead school-based teams to address the social, emotional, physical, and mental health of all students.Train, coach, and support school-level staff in the design, implementation, and evaluation of school and classroom mental health and wellness framework initiatives.Collaborate with school-level staff to ensure alignment of mental health and wellness initiative implementation.Develop, plan, prepare and implement individual, measurable, long-term and short-term objectives based on student-identified needs, which may include referrals to, and consultation with, other appropriate professionals, agencies and community resources.

The Senior Director, Professional Development & Quality is responsible for the training, quality assurance and certification of all BELL partners. The Senior Director is critical to building the capability of BELL’s partners to ensure that they achieve the desired impact and program fidelity—realizing a powerful, consistent BELL Experience for all Scholars. This role needs to have a deep understanding of BELL’s products and services—collaborating with the Product Development team to ensure fidelity requirements and implications of any desired customization. This role is expected to be virtual with the ability to travel given the requirements stated in this job description. BELL’s Senior Director, Professional Development & Quality reports to the Chief Impact Officer.Accountable for effective delivery of a ‘train the trainer’ approach with all partners. The Senior Director collaborates with key functions, such as Product Development, to ensure the latest product and service innovations are integrated into the training content and delivery. This role oversees those who are directly managing the delivery of all professional development, quality assurance and certification.

The National Senior Director of Partnership Implementation monitors and supports program operations, partnership interactions, and offers technical assistance including collaborating with the BELL HQ team members to support all educational program offerings (summer and after school). The NSDPI must be familiar with all training operations processes to assist with streamlining current business processes, support new partnership, program innovations and participates in strategic initiatives that expand the partnership and licensing model. The National Senior Director will manage a portfolio of partnership programs that support a national effort to inspire a generation of innovative leaders and increase scholar reach. Design leadership development trainings, deliver tactics, transfer knowledge and execute appropriate actions to help BELL cultivate creativity, expand its brand, foster 21st century skills and model excellence in collaboration and learning.

Program DirectorThe Program Director will participate in the development and facilitation of training content and will be the primary individual responsible for the successful implementation of the program, although s/he will execute that responsibility through ensuring training, support, and oversight systems rather than day-to-day operations.Critical responsibilities include:• Supporting the Program Leadership group where needed to sustain the program• Support the development of a national network, strengthen local training and leadership development, and ensure the local use of technology and data management systems• Ensuring robust training of program-related staff, with special emphasis on FSCs, Association Program Leads, Site Managers, and Instructional Coaches• Monitoring site information from QA, scholar outcome, and FSC reports to address challenges and assess overall program success• Assessing how well and how quickly Associations at different stages of readiness are able to transition to Mature Program status — and to understand how to accelerate this process in future years• Certifying Associations as Mature Programs-Overseeing escalating engagements if program fidelity and quality fall short• Focusing more on the evaluation of the concept for broader application, asking the question of how to effectively scale BELL’s evidence based program through a national network like the YMCA.Personal StatementAs the Program Director for the Power Scholars Academy program, I am directly charged to connect with cause driven leaders throughout the YMCA network who are committed to closing the achievement gap through meaningful educational learning experiences and the promotion of healthy living.

Responsible for leading all aspects of the BELL-YMCA summer 2013 pilot implementation, including the program launch with three local YMCA Associations (Orlando,Chicago, & Hartford) and overall management of the sites. In particular, responsibilities included overseeing the hiring, training, and management of staff for each site, ensuring operational and programmatic excellence, and coordinating the overall effort with BELL and Y-USA in cooperation with the Pilot Leadership Group.

Develop and deliver training to program leaders and teachers of BELL's summer and after school programs.Work with the larger Program Department to develop the BELL Program model, curriculum design, and instructional best practices. Cultivate new district partnerships and pursue funding opportunities.

Instruct students through lectures, discussions, visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension. Administer various types of assessments to monitor students’ comprehension of the material. Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to review students’ performance and behavior.

Developed, implemented, and evaluated the Middle School instructional program. Supervised and assessed the instructional staff by observing classrooms and reviewing lesson plans. Enforced corrective discipline in the Middle School setting, ensuring a safe and productive learning experience. Designed and coordinated in-service workshops and trainings for staff. Interviewed candidates for certified and non-certified positions. Coordinated extra-curricular activities and the acquisition and placement of substitute teachers. Served as Summer School Principal 2010 and Teach for America (TFA) administrative contact.

Provided professional development to build teacher content and competency in the implementation of the Project GRAD MOVE IT Math program. Prepared a strategic plan, set grade level goals and identified the methods to be employed for meeting those objectives. Increased the percentage of students meeting and exceeding math standards. Stayed abreast of new developments related to curriculum and curriculum structure.
