Heading up the Brand Development Team I drive the strategy for robust brand communication with the McArthurGlen brand partners, ensuring that Brand Development is a core part of the McArthurGlen focus. Formerly known as the Client Management team, Brand Development has moved onwards and focuses heavily on key brand partner relationships and building a strong mutual business.

McArthurGlen turnover is over €2billion from 20 outlet centres across 8 countries with 849 brand partners. I introduced the business analysis that prioritises partners at corporate, regional and local level and identify business development needs across the business. My team manage the B2B CRM system which I have upgraded to better suit user needs engaging the company with CRM through training across the 20 Centres and ensured CRM is incorporated into the corporate induction programme. I initiated developments to the business review pack to integrate leasing, marketing and extended retail feedback including key KPIs. I ensured robust processes are in place for follow up and feedback, working with the managing directors and regional teams to coordinate company-wide strategies for key brand partners. I have reinvented the categorisation of the brands in the portfolio and introduced the flexibility to be able to categorise by fashionability, demographic, 2 product categories and market positioning to ensure more accurate business analysis. I engaged the business and coordinated IT, senior retail and the other affiliated departments to fulfil the project.

I managed and drove the relationships between Debenhams and a portfolio of 28 womenswear external businesses trading as concessions within the 120 UK stores. To ensure the Debenhams’ external brand mix optimised the fashion and demographic trends, I sourced new companies to add to the offer and controlled the exit of those who failed to perform. The key responsibility was to manage the £350m+ turnover and drive the best £k profit per foot in the stores. I influenced external suppliers’ ranges, marketing activities, shop-fits, contracts and seasonal layouts. Internal relationship management included ensuring best product adjacencies, optimum footages and planning paper layouts in existing and new stores to complement the own-bought offer.
