I was a teaching assistant for Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics courses at CSU. My responsibilities included leading three discussion sections of 30 students each per semester, consulting with students during office hours, and grading written work.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

As Assistant Director, I was responsible for coordinating Writing Center presentations by tracking presentation requests, communicating with consultants and faculty to arrange these presentations, and establishing training opportunities for consultants as necessary. I collaborated with the other Assistant Director and Director to implement a new online scheduling system, oversee day-to-day operations, and facilitate other Writing Center activities. Throughout these efforts, I continued working with students as a writing consultant

Greater Salt Lake City Area

I collaborated with the Governor’s Chief Economist and other research analysts to conduct analyses of state revenue and Medicaid forecasts. My accomplishments include compiling a report analyzing error trends in state tax revenue forecasts since 2006 using a range of error measures and graphics generated with SAS analytical software. I was also responsible for writing bill summaries during legislative session and collecting state-level economic data for use by the Demographics and Economic Analysis department.

Greater Salt Lake City Area

My primary responsibility as a Writing Consultant was working collaboratively in one-on-one sessions with undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni on writing from a range of genres. I also led presentations to Westminster classes on behalf of the Writing Center, participated in or led monthly continuing training sessions, and participated in professional development opportunities such as the Utah Community Literacy and Writing Consortium tutor retreat.
