• Facilitate virtual/conference call, face-to-face classroom, group and one-on-one training to new and existing employees• Deliver training to multiple lines of businesses within CIBC, primarily Mortgages and Lending• Deliver programs of various lengths including new-hire induction, enhancement of existing products and services, procedural reviews/updates, technical and interpersonal and sales training• Provide performance coaching and support to learners as appropriate• Provide facilitation feedback through peer evaluation• Proactively identify and communicate required content updates or recommended improvements following Talent Development’s established processes• Update existing content and create training material when required• Build effective relationships with Lines of Businesses to promote goals/services of Learning Delivery and Talent Development• Evaluate course materials, methodologies and results to ensure the delivery of best practice training• Proactively identify, build and market training schedules to meet CIBC business needs• Work independently and/or collaboratively on training initiatives and/or projects• Remain current with business developments, training trends and organizational shifts• Actively prepare for and act on contingencies in the event of change i.e. availability of technology, resources and/or scheduled participants• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written• Strong organizational and time management skills• Strong understanding of adult learning principles• Strong facilitation skills• Strong knowledge of learning management systems• Strong working knowledge and application of MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)• Strong influencing and negotiating skills• Strong working knowledge and application of various media platforms (Classroom, Skype, MS Teams)

• Responsible for rendering credit decisions on incoming applications consistent with internal and insurer policies• Underwriting mortgage commitments, and verifying supporting documentation as submitted by mortgage brokers• Render approval/decline decisions on incoming applications consistent with internal and insurer policies• Analyze employment profile, credit strength, property characteristics, and all other information pertinent to the credit decision process on each mortgage application, as presented by the broker• Apply internal guidelines and insurer guidelines (CMHC & Genworth) to the credit decision process.• Prioritize deals in LenderBase queue in order to minimize turnaround time.• Produce/underwrite mortgage commitments• Select required conditions on each deal to be satisfied by the solicitor, client and the broker prior to funding.• Verify supporting documentation for each application• Verify accuracy of supporting employment, down payment, appraisal, and financial documentation• Review documentation for compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.• Correspond with mortgage brokers to attain outstanding documentation needed to complete requirements as stipulated on the commitment.
