Dexus is one of Australia’s leading fully integrated real estate groups, managing a high-quality Australian property portfolio with an appetite for continual growth, including through acquisitions and it was my role to create a streamlined, user-friendly change process for employees from an acquired company. My role also supported various other change initiatives, including developing organisation re-design proposals and consultation plans implement change.Working in a highly dynamic environment, my role supports leaders and employees at all levels within Dexus and the acquired company to create a positive and welcoming experience during periods of transition. This was achieved through the creation of change material and frequently asked question documents to de-mystify what to expect during integration into the Dexus business and to facilitate connections between the two businesses. My greatest achievement was fully on-boarding over 50 employees onto Dexus terms and conditions of employment and integrating them onto the human resource system in time for their first official day with Dexus in mid-August. This was achieved by working collaboratively with leaders in the business and specialist groups within the people and culture team to create the frameworks required to deliver this outstanding result.

My role provided human resource support and developed and delivered people projects across the Asia Pacific region.Working as part of geographically dispersed team, my role provided managers and employees with day-to-day human resources support and advice as well as developing and executing a variety of complex projects across the Asia Pacific region including policy development, organisational re-design, change management and diversity initiatives. My role was also the Asia Pacific global mobility contact, aiding managers and employees to navigate company mobility requirements as well as supporting compliance with immigration regulations. My greatest achievement was developing a new global mobility arrangement in conjunction with the Director, Global Mobility to create a more effective mobility agreement to meet the needs of the business while still supporting expatriates to relocate, repatriate and navigate international tax and immigration regulations. The new agreement enabled expatiates to be hired on local employment contracts whilst enjoying the benefits the global mobility program offered, creating a cost-effective structure for the business without disadvantaging expatriates. As a result of working in a truly matrixed global environment, I developed skills in building meaningful, positive relationships with senior leaders, managers and employees remotely, utilising technology. This included establishing trust and confidence that the advice and solutions that I provided were both knowledgeable and commercially focused.
