Michigan History Museum
I worked on a project to create a records management plan for the physical exhibits records from the Michigan History Museum. I completed a collection survey of about 20 cubic feet of materials, completed intellectual arrangement for the records, and then created a processing guide for future staff to complete physical arrangement.
I managed the circulation department during the evening hours, including supervision of about 10 part-time desk attendants, tracking patron bills and fines, and handling all interlibrary lending of about 150 requests per month. I also coordinated textbook orders for all law school courses in Fall 2022 and compiled a list of required textbooks for all.
My main duty was assisting guests and ensuring the safety of the guests and artwork in both internal and external facing roles. This included posts in galleries, guest services desks, and a 24/7 security monitoring station. I assisted in training and supervising part-time Guest Services team members and established guidelines for fire and tornado safety.
