In my role as a Grant Coordinator at Granted Consulting, I worked to craft tailored grant applications, guide clients through paperwork and reimbursement processes, maintain records in our CRM system, meet tight deadlines, and improve training for new hires by implementing the organization's first mock training grant applications.

As a Communications Specialist at Swim Drink Fish, my role encompassed various tasks aimed at promoting water stewardship and community engagement through effective science communications and building relationships.I developed protocols for building relationships with First Nations and used these to respectfully approach Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish First Nations and worked with them to develop Indigenous language vocabulary to be shared across our digital platforms. I also worked to honour Indigenous cultures by integrating and highlighting traditional knowledge and culture across our social media and blogs. I created and distributed communications across social media, websites, blogs, and emails to engage the community and encourage action. Additionally, I expanded our social media presence and fostered connections with new audiences. I collected water samples for the Community Science Water Monitoring program while promoting awareness of the initiative on social media. Furthermore, I wrote grant applications to secure funding and contributed to the development of a new communication strategy and redesign of our communication platforms.
