I oversaw UBS's content editorial platform for Asia, working with the CIO and product teams to ensure content was synthesised and relevant for the sales teams.

I work on Alibaba Group's International Corporate Affairs team responsible for the Company's investment communications, corporate announcements and India communications. I worked on content development for a year, writing extensively on Alibaba Group and China's e-commerce industry.

Objectively speaking, with no bias involved, I can say that I have the best beat in China. I cover technology companies and their shenanigans in the world's biggest mobile and Internet markets. I also write about Chinese consumer trends, such as $40,000 elk-hunting trips. Of the stories I told, the one I enjoyed most was discovering a fake Ikea store in the third-tier Chinese city. Nothing says "You're in China!" more than knockoff Swedish furniture.

I was the small-mid cap companies reporter who also covered Singapore's political and general news. This means other than interviewing CEOs, I covered court cases, opposition protests and wrote about the yawning income inequality in wealthy Singapore. My personal highlight is an interview I did with Singapore's former AG, Walter Woon, about his office's decision to initiate proceedings against the Wall Street Journal for contempt of court.

I wrote features, researched stories and covered events for AFP. My articles were widely published in regional media outlets such as the Bangkok Post, the SCMP and the Jakarta Post.I didn't brew coffee or get on a first name basis with any dry cleaners near my office. But I did interview Salvatore Ferragamo's heirs where I learnt the history of wedge shoe and wrote fun features on topics like Singapore's addiction to plastic surgery.
