Mel Poole is a founder and director with film production company 18 Degrees - www.18deg.com 18 Degrees works with some of Australia's top companies and agencies to produce commercials, media content and film as well as immersive and interactive video and experiences.Mel wrote and directed Sock and Buskin which won the Audience Award at St Kilda in 2019 and more recently wrote and directed Charlie, a film inspired by a true story of homelessness.Mel began her career as a producer and reporter for Channel Nine's Today Show and has also worked for media organisations ABC Radio and Ten News.As a writer, Melanie has been published in Newsltd's ESCAPE section and Australian Geographic Magazine with tales about her global adventures including the Everest Base Camp trek and the annual Gerewol Festival in Niger.
