• Help clients find and keep competitive employment with their vocational needs being met• Assist clients with interview preparation, resume and job search skills• Contact target companies and arrange appointments, conducting face-to-face calls to local businesses • Negotiate with employer to modify workplace and to restructure or eliminate tasks which client is unable to perform

• Responsible for developing relationships with employers to ensure site development and extern to hire accountabilities are identified and met to develop externship to hire sites• Establish and maintain activities to develop locate and secure leads and job openings for graduates that are appropriate for our programs to include by not limited to participation in outreach and recruitment activities by coordinating and attending job fairs• Make the appropriate number of marketing calls necessary to generate the required number of leads and job orders to meet accreditation standards of each program assigned to• Identify entry-level job opportunities for graduates and students through employment ads, phone calls, personal contacts, community outreach to develop job leads and employment sites, the internet and written correspondence• Advisory Board meetings: Build solid rapport with employers to ensure their participation at annual Advisory Board meetings. Ensure Advisory Board meetings are well organized and attended by program faculty and managers and employers representing each program.• Coordinates and compiles surveys to employers• Achieve placement results in each program as established by accrediting agencies, state entities and current established company targets

•Facilitate an orientation to the workplace- rules and expectations of employers, rights and responsibilities of employers & Canadian workplace culture•Provide counselling and coaching in life skills, career exploration, identification and clarification of interests, abilities, skills, education and experience in relation to short and long term career and employment goals in a group or individual setting•Preparation of job search tools including resumes and applications, interview and job search strategies, school and training record•Provide support to client in assessing their qualifications against job requirements and supported referral and access to other services including but not limited to education & training•Assist in matching individuals who are unlikely to succeed in conducting their own job search, even with support due to other barriers to their employment, according to their skills and interests with work opportunities•Facilitate work opportunities and negotiation of employment relationships on behalf of clients including placement agreements and contracts with individuals and employers that include training objectives and commitments and financial incentives•Develop a training plan with the employer and the participant and negotiate the incentive as appropriate•Conduct outreach to employers to identify opportunities and promoted job matching and placement support•Ensure that employers meet all eligibility criteria, conduct at least one site visit per employers prior to placements to confirm a suitable and safe work environment.•Conduct monitors and provide coaching and support during the placement including identifying and resolving workplace issues that may affect participant success both during and after the placement•Administer contract with employers, including the timely processing and payment of financial incentives
