Melissa Jones Graves received her doctorate from the University of Arkansas in Rehabilitation Education and Research. She is currently a rehabilitation counselor for Owen Vocational Services, a designated vocational expert for Social Security Office of Hearings and Appeals proceedings, and a contracted case manager with the Veteran’s Administration, providing rehabilitation services to veterans with service connected disabilities. She is also an associate professor at Northwest Arkansas Community College. She is currently serving as an editor for the Journal of Life Care Planning. She has past experience as a rehabilitation counselor for Arkansas Rehabilitation Services at Arkansas Career Training Institute. Dr. Jones has presented on the subject of trauma, stress related disorders, qualitative research and social justice in Rehabilitation Counseling at state and national conferences. She has coauthored textbooks used in counseling graduate programs in the United States including Medical, Psychosocial, and Vocational Aspects of Emerging Disabilities and Qualitative Research Designs. Throughout her professional career she has published articles in peer reviewed journals including the Journal of Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Research, Policy, and Education Journal, Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling, and Journal of Life Care Planning.
