I am a passionate landscape architect with a Masters of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. My work is driven by the potential for landscape architecture to create more equitable communities. I explore participatory design strategies that amplify marginalized voices and foster community resilience through the co-creation of public spaces celebrating local identities. My research focuses on developing human-centered approaches that interweave solutions for ecological resilience with building social resilience and cohesion, prioritizing the cultivation of spaces of resistance, healing, and self-determination for underrepresented populations. My commitment to the field has been recognized through various awards, such as being named a LAF Olmsted Scholar Graduate Nominee and receiving the Graduate Prospect Award from Cal Poly Pomona. I am also a recipient of the Dangermond Research Fellowship and am involved in advocacy through my membership in the Black Landscape Architects Network, American Society of Landscape Architects, and other professional organizations.
