As an Assistant Project Specialist at Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), I contributed to the development and implementation of various trade projects supported by the T.R. Ministry of Trade along with providing assistance to visiting and on-phone members of the Chamber about the state provided incentives. I applied my linguistic skills and knowledge to conduct research, analysis, and communication activities, and supported the coordination and collaboration with different stakeholders and partners. Prior to my experience in the Chamber, I also worked as a contracted English Language Instructor at Marmara University for eight months, where I taught English to students of different levels and backgrounds. I have a bachelor's degree in English Linguistics from Hacettepe University, and I received a master's degree in Political Communication in Europe at Marmara University. I am interested in the intersection of language, politics, and culture, and how they shape the communication and interaction among individuals, groups, and societies. Additionally, I am interested in politics and ethics which manifested itself in my master's thesis that focuses on ethical lobbying and strengtening common good through facilitated decision making. My core competencies include project management, intercultural communication, research and analysis, and language teaching. I am passionate about learning new languages, cultures, and perspectives, and I aim to use my skills and education to promote mutual understanding, cooperation, and dialogue in the global context. Currently, I work as a Junior Researcher in Economic Development Foundation where I produce various publications and works regarding EU institutions and activities, as well as Turkish-EU relations. I am also a part of the editorial team of İKV Monthly.
