A project is conducted as a team of 5 students related to paint-shop production planning, storage in AS/RS and transfer of painted parts on Electrified Monorail System(EMS).For the production planning part, two GAMS model are developed for production plan and shift decisions separately. Then, an algorithm is developed using SQL for storage and transfer decisions over EMS or AS/RS. The results are observed in simulation model developed in Arena simulation software. By building a feedback mechanism between models, the solution and suggestions are presented to the company with a user-friendly interface.

I worked on a supply logistics project during my three month internship. I collected data from the logistics area and the company database. Using them, I developed a SQL code based on MilkRun algorithm widely used in literature. The results are simulated in Arena simulation software. Then, time-based analyses are conducted to indicate the improvements and presented to the factory manager.

I was one of the first ten member of the society which is newly founded. I was in charge of the budget of the society and I was responsible from finding sponsorship for the events. For this purpose, I had a chance to communicate with business people and improved my communication skills. Also, I was head of the team and I experienced both the management and teamwork in this society.
