Work to provide assistance in tax filing as well as free and confidential legal research to those of the Berkeley Community (including, but not limited to, Berkeley students and people experiencing homelessness). Supply comprehensive case reports catered to client's legal concerns after completion of one on one intake meetings. In the spring, caseworkers get certified to participate in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program to provide free tax filing services to qualifying clientele.
