Developing precision treatments for Alzheimer's disease using CRISPR based epigenetic editing. We particularly target the alteration of the GAD1, a gene encoding glutamate decarboxylase responsible for the synthesis of GABA from glutamate. It is known that the expression of GAD1 is reduced in AD, so we hope to discover highly potent precision treatments.
