Hello! I am a marine biologist pursuing my passions in the ever-evolving, environmental industry. Climate change, natural resource management, species protection, food source sustainability, and impacts on human communities are just some of the universal concerns that will continue to shape how people live and work today and for generations to come. I am passionate to make a difference by supporting restoration efforts and effective policies specifically related to marine ecosystem restoration and biodiversity preservation to create a more harmonious coexistence between humans and the environment. The importance of the intersection between environmental science and policy for informed decision-making has led me to my current position with the National Marine Fisheries Service/NOAA.As an Army veteran, my core skill sets include project management, analytics, strategic leadership, and excellent verbal and written communication. I'm grateful for the opportunities the Army has presented to me. However, I've embraced this next chapter of my life in a new career field. This is why I earned a graduate certificate in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver and, most recently, my Master's in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego to expand my knowledge in this intensely interdisciplinary field.Outside of work, I love getting outdoors with my dog, going on road trips, snapping photos of nature, reading, and SCUBA diving.
