Working with side-emitting optical fibers using UV light to inactive E. coli in endoscopes. Currently determining the maximum distance we can achieve inactivation and how long it would take to achieve inactivation, as well as trying to find a relationship between the time and distance for inactivation to be applied for future uses.

Collaboration with the local WET Center and UMass to improve stormwater management and water quality in the Amherst area. Researched constructed wetlands as a viable method for mitigation of pollutants.

Performed on a variety of tasks and projects, some of which include building inspections for illegal connections to a sanitary sewer system of a city in New England to reduce CSOs as well as flood mitigation of a watershed in the same city. Utilized my skills in writing to assist with grant research and editing of operation and maintenance manuals.
