Between 2014-2016 the EDoN at Peter Mac held a two day/week Professorial position at the University of Melbourne. On these days, I acted as EDoN in her absence. This role required me to provide senior nursing leadership and advice to the following areas:-Department of Cancer Experience and Research-Allied Health-Specialist Clinics-Specialist Nurses Group-Participation in divisional budget preparation for the EDON portfolio.-Performance management, including engagement with the ANMF-Risk management and quality and safety oversight, including taking a leadership role and hold responsibility for follow up from the Adverse Event Committee-Delegation and escalation of all portfolio staff points of concern

In this role I demonstrated leadership, management and service delivery of the Apheresis Service which provided apheresis and transfusion services to Peter Mac patients and contract apheresis services to the Royal Children’s Hospital. The CNC role encompassed the roles and responsibilities of the Nurse Unit Manager. This role required senior nursing leadership, excellent presentation and research capabilities to be able to participate at a state, national and international platform. The unit required efficiencies in nursing EFT, and growth for activity management to included procurement of minimum of $500K of devices for safe and effective care for a fast growing service.
