I was employed as an Accountant at Theron du Plessis Helderberg CC. I am studying BComm degree in Financial Accounting.We generally work on Sage Pastel Partner, SageOne Online & Pastel Payroll.Duties included:- Managing and assisting a set list of clients with any SARS, Labour Department, RMA or financial accounting queries or questions.- Monthly accounting - Payroll preparations and IRP5 reconciliations- Calculation, completion and submission statutory returns, eg VAT, EMP etc.- Preparation of annual financial statements of individuals, trusts, partnerships, sole proprietors, close corporations and companies- Forecasts, Budgets & Cashflow Statements- Direct and indirect tax calculation (and income tax planning)- Completion of tax returns- Verifying of SARS accounts and assessments and liaison with SARS- Other tax services, e.g. registration for VAT, income tax, PAYE, etc.
