I started at BDHS doing very basic work, but have worked myself into more advanced work that includes scheduling all of the teachers and students, entering new students and transfer grades, running report cards, transcript corrections and much more. All of these tasks are completed using Skyward, which is our student management system. I also help create posts for Facebook and am the go to person for website updates. It's a very busy, fast-paced environment, which I am grateful to be a part of. My position is 10 months, so I have the summer's off to spend with my kids!

Greet and direct students who come to the Student Services office to see their counselor, the nurse or other staff. Submit transcripts to colleges for current and past graduates. Maintain student records. Manage the School Information Software (Skyward) including master schedule, student information, student transfers, etc. Assist new families with the enrollment process. Utilize Career Cruising for student course selection when scheduling. Update website and Facebook as needed. Provide coverage for the health room when the school nurse is not available.

Marketing group benefits is my main role at Richards Benefits & Financial Services. If one of our groups (or a new one) is looking to get competitive quotes from carriers for health insurance, short term disability, long term disability and/or group life insurance, our agents give the information to me. I then request quotes from the carriers and put all of the information into a proposal for the agent to take back to the client. In 2016, I started to help with branding, managing our website and maintaining social media... which I LOVE!

As an Executive Assistant in Marketing & Development, I assisted the director and also had a lot of responsibility with the hospital's Foundation. I maintained the DonorPerfect database, corresponded with donors, managed events, organized board meetings, solicited employee donations and performed many other general office tasks. Managing the director's calendar was also one of my priorities. It was a very fulfilling position, but a little too demanding for me and my family.

As administrative assistant in the laboratory, I assisted the director, lab managers and other key operators. My responsibilities also included processing payroll, meeting notes, correspondence and updating policies and procedures. I learned a lot about lab tests while working in this position.

I administered housing grants for local municipalities that were recipients of Community Development Block Grants. This included working with elected officials in the community, creating all documents needed for processing loans, tracking the loans and all other financials for the programs and working with the State to maintain compliance.
