I grew up in Augusta, Kentucky and graduated from Augusta Independent. I earned my undergraduate degree (BA) from Northern Kentucky University and MSLS and EdD from The University of Kentucky. I have worked as a teacher, school librarian, and course designer. I am currently the Head of Collections and Discovery Services at Northern Kentucky University's Steely Library. My research interests include information literacy instruction, technology integration in education, and information seeking of middle and high school students.
