With over 30 years of experience in the field of school psychology, 18 years in child clinical psychology, and 10 years as an Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator, I am passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of young children and their families. As the Early Childhood Coordinator at LADSE, a cooperative service agency that provides special education services to 21 school districts, I oversee the implementation and evaluation of the early childhood program and services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and best practices. I also collaborate with various stakeholders, such as administrators, teachers, therapists, parents, and community partners, to enhance the quality and effectiveness of early childhood services and outcomes. II value diversity, inclusion, and equity, and I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all children and families.Before joining LADSE, I was an Early Childhood School Psychologist at Glenview Public School District for 10 years, where I provided comprehensive psychological services to children aged 2.6 to 5 years old, including diagnostic assessment, counseling, intervention, and consultation. I worked with a multidisciplinary team to identify and address the needs and strengths of children with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges, and to design and implement individualized education plans and behavior support plans. I also facilitated parent education and training sessions and provided professional development and coaching to staff on topics such as child development, trauma-informed practices, and social-emotional learning. I have provided clinical psychology supervision to doctoral and post-doctoral school psychology students through the Illinois School Psychology Internship Consortium, and have been a member of their governing board for over 15 years. I have developed strong skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership, and I have earned multiple certifications as a Licensed Clinical and Certified School Psychologist in Illinois.
