Responsible for providing engineering and technical support to Chesapeake Public Utilities Engineering Division. Duties include:-Providing Project Management for Capital Improvement Program Projects -Coordination with consultants and contractors on planning and design, and the construction of various water and sewer rehabilitation/replacement projects-Development plan review for subdivisions and commercial sites -Engineering calculations for sewer pump stations-Analyzing water system hydraulics -Estimating utility project costs -Developing master water and sewer plans for future growth -Preparing various engineering reports -Implementing Chesapeake’s electronic permitting software by providing support to both the public and internal staff-Investigating and responding to inquiries from customers and citizens

Duties include:-Providing Project Management for in-house water and sewer rehabilitation/replacement projects-Coordination with various agencies and localities for the Regional Consent Order and the Regional Wet Weather Management Plan-Researching and analyzing data for engineering reports -Identifying future upgrades and establishing long term cost projections for existing utility systems -Coordination with consultants on planning and design of various water and sewer rehabilitation and replacement projects-Plan review of subdivisions and site development -Drafting as-builts for internal utility projects-Estimating project costs -Responding to inquiries and concerns from citizens and customers

-Responsible for coordinating the technical and management aspects of a project. Duties include:- Providing leadership and direction to the construction team-Creating good relations with the Architect and Owner-Managing financial aspects of Contracts, Subcontractors, and project expenses-Safety and Quality Control-Estimating and bidding Projects-Scope pricing/negotiating material-Executing buyouts -Constructing material purchase orders and contracts-Budgeting and Scheduling
