I am an Independent Insurance Agent in Western Washington. I offer Home, Auto & Toys (personal lines) as well as Business Insurance. I have many major companies like Safeco, Liberty, Fidelity National, Travelers, Encompass, MetLife, Kemper, Dairyland, GMAC, Hartford, Progressive, Unitrin, Foremost and more. My goal is to serve my customers by offering the largest selection of choices in this area. Since I have the ability to find what company suits them best, and I "speak insurance" I can explain coverage's in a way that makes it easy to understand. I can also "go shopping" when companies price themselves out of affordability. I do not offer Financial Planning services, and my life products are limited. I am a property casualty agent primarily. I owned an Allstate Insurance Agency for 4 years, November 2004 through November 2008 I was licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, Disability and had registration with NASD to sell financial services. My experience with Allstate was fulfilling, but I had a desire to better serve my customers by offering more choices of companies. I also did not really feel like the financial services part of that Agency was the real me. I am a Property Casualty kind of a girl, and that is what I am really good at. So In 2008 I kept the name of All Seasons Insurance and became an Independent agency focusing on P&C.

Just as I had with signage and commercial artwork, I worked as an occasional sub-contractor as well as doing my own side jobs. The business name and locations changed, but the work was fulfilling and gave me the ability to travel. I found so many of the skills I had developed as a sign painter came into play with the design of tile, and tile was something I really enjoyed. I had entered into a "man's world" without really realizing I had chosen to. Although there are many women today in the trades, when I started they were few and far between. It was an interesting time for me. What attracted me to tile as with lettering was the fact the world had had been doing both of those for thousands of years, and aside from modern tools, the job was done in very much the same way that it had always been done. I was a tile and lettering idealist. It also paid well. What I found it did not do was allow me time to be a Mom. Working long days and having small children had me looking again for a way to fit making a living in with living life. So I bought a Grange Agency on Camano Island and worked as a caregiver part time to support that habit. With both of my boys in school, I returned to tile full time for a short time in 2000 and I left the life of tile and stone permanently in 2001, due to a pretty severe spinal injury which limited my ability to lift heavy things (like tile saws). I went back into owning an insurance agency when I opened All Seasons Insurance in 2004. I have been there ever since.

I owned this Grange Insurance Agency, located on Camano Island WA. I was lucky enough work out of another agents office in Mount Vernon WA for the first year of this Agency. She was absolutely wonderful and gave me the best training I could have hoped for. (Thank you Letha!) I insured auto, home, and farm. I found that my detail oriented personality fit into the insurance industry pretty well. I also like people and insurance offered me the opportunity to meet lots of people I would not have had a chance to otherwise. I enjoyed my time with Grange and met many other wonderful Agents who I still know.

This was the first of many business I owned. After learning commercial art and sign lettering at Pasadena City College, I left the hustle and bustle of southern California and moved to Moab Utah. There I offered signage and artwork to the business and trucking firms in Moab. I occasionally sold fine arts there as well. I found that I needed to make more money, so I became a waitress to support my art, sign for sale, and travel habit. Between the two, I made a comfortable living and was able to spend the next 8 years traveling around the most gorgeous areas of the 10 western states. I changed the name of the business a few times, but the work remained the same until I added tile and stone to my work profile in Boise in 1983. I stopped waitressing as side work, and added tile and stone as my main job.
