I am an Associate Professor of Adult Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick. I teach a number of graduate and undergraduate adult education programs at UNB including Origins and Trends in Adult Education, Program Planning for Adult Educators, and Adult Education and Community Development. I am interested in a wide variety of adult education issues and my primary research and writing focuses on in policy, neoliberalism, community development and the internationalization of higher education, particularly as it relates to the experiences of transnational academics. Prior to coming to UNB I held the post of lecturer in the Centre for Labour Market Studies at the University of Leicester in the UK and, prior to that, was a lecturer in the School of Professional Development and Leadership at the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia. In both these positions, I had the opportunity to teach students from around the world via distance education and face to face in those locations as well as in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malta and Dubai.
