Melissa’s expertise lies in the coordination of projects and making things happen. Though the ServiceNow platform is every changing, her vast knowledge in client engagement, strategic planning, relationship building, project implementation, accountability, along with organizational and process development make her an asset to any project. As a Business Analyst, Melissa supported the development team by providing detailed documentation and analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for our clients, which aid in sound business decision-making. Her ability to apply critical thinking, recognize key performance indicators, and work alongside senior leaders, helps produce positive results for our team and clients alike. My roles and responsibilities were focused on adding value to people in the community and those we served, both before and after their time of loss. I was able to develop care programs and educational opportunities, create relationships within the Hastings community and beyond, and build trusted resource relationships that continue to serve others even after funeral services have completed. I also provided operational support and planning within the funeral home day to day operations. As a Respecting Choices First Steps ACP Certified Facilitator, I welcomed opportunities to speak to groups regarding the benefits of getting important conversations started regarding advanced care planning directives, along with the basics on funeral pre-planning with loved ones.

Facilitated the Board Retreats for the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau multiple times, helping to achieve healthy dialogue during their annual planning sessions.

Working with Green Oasis, The Greenskeepers & Greener Grass Systems, Inc. I was their regional operations Executive Director. It was a shared position between the River Falls (Eastern Twin Cities metro office) and the Chippewa Falls location (serves Western WI). As an integrator and accountability partner, I helped to facilitate sustained change and the implementation of the E.O.S. system in the organization. I also handled the majority of the company marketing, working with vendors, designers, and planning for all aspects of the year-round and seasonal business. I was excited to watch the company grow to new heights. As I made my departure, the company was being recognized for its community stewardship nationally by the industry organization formerly known as PLANET. They also received the local small business of the year 2015 for the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.

Director of the Christmas Decor franchise operations for Christmas Decor by Green Oasis Lighting, Inc. Performed sales, marketing duties, client relationship building, oversight of production initiatives, and overall client satisfaction.
