Financial AnalystBaycare Health System May 2010 - Jul 2012One of Financial Planning main functions is to facilitate the budgeting and forecasting process for an 11 hospital healthcare system. While at Baycare, our team developed, tested and implemented a new planning platform. The members of the Decision Support Workgroup brainstormed and documented the analytical equations that become interdependent calc-scripts. I curtailed the technical details in each manual to its particular audience. Finally, I and two others trained finance users and directors on basic principles of forecasting and Oracle navigation. The facilitation of standardizing and automating financial stats was a personal endeavor of mine. This multi-phase, cross-departmental project has been unsuccessfully attempted several times over the past 10 years.
