WEJF is a nonprofit organization that raises money from Wisconsin's legal community to support three of Wisconsin's pro bono civil legal aid organizations: Disability Rights Wisconsin, Legal Action of Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Judicare. As the sole employee of WEJF, I managed all aspects of organization. When I assumed the role of Executive Director in 2004, I reorganized operations to maximize efficiency, and harnessed the power of our dynamic, engaged volunteer Board of Directors. Within a year, I had lowered our average cost per dollar raised from over $.70 to $.28 and grown our annual Howard B. Eisenberg Lifetime Achievement Award Dinner into the centerpiece of our fundraising campaign. We continued to build on that foundation for the next 15 years, achieving record fundraising totals in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Managed administrative and bookkeeping tasks for an informal group of approximately 60-65 general counsel from across Wisconsin. Planned four dinner meetings per year, including securing a venue, scheduling guest speakers, and invoicing attendees for costs incurred. Maintained membership records, tracked group receivables and expenditures, and fielded questions and requests from members.

Work with cable TV companies to coordinate production of their monthly Channel Guide magazines.

Coordinated public relations events & marketing projects to raise money to support Milwaukee Public Television.
