I am an experienced broadcast engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry. I became a broadcast engineer sort of by chance. I started as a temp for Westwood One in early 2015, but they saw something in me and decided to put me in their control room to see if I could pick any of it up. Luckily I did pick it up and I began working in their TOC a few months later! Working as a broadcast engineer in the control room was the best job I ever had - even when working holidays and/or the overnight shift. I am looking to find a new broadcast engineering role as I miss the excitement (and occasional chaos) that this position can bring. I love that there is never a dull moment, there is always something new to learn and a new problem to solve. I especially love the satisfaction that comes with solving a difficult or complicated issue, no matter how frustrating a problem may have initially been. Outside of broadcast engineering, I also work freelance as a video editor as well as volunteer for a non-profit exotic animal rescue. When I am volunteering on-site, I will help with fundraising events, clean enclosures, feed/water animals, and interact with the animals. When I am volunteering remotely, I will create and edit videos for them to use on their social media platforms.
