Practice Areas and Interests:I was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 2000 and have practiced law with Lawson Creamer since that time. My practice has been focused on labour and employment as well as debtor/creditor law and construction litigation.My practice includes individual clients as well as small, medium and large businesses.Education:I graduated from Saint John High School and completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. I attended Law School at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton between 1996 and 1999.Work For the Profession:I have been involved in the Canadian Bar Association as a past Chair of the Young Lawyers, an executive member of the Labour and Employment Group and a member of the CBANB Lawyers Assistance Program committee. I also volunteer time to participate in seminars and courses, including those offered by the Law Society of New Brunswick in connection with the Bar Admission Course.Outside Our Office:I've served as a member of Saint John Common Council for Ward 3 and also as the 66th Mayor of Saint John between 2012 and 2016 while at the same time continuing my law practice. Following my term as Mayor I offered to lead the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick. In the past I have been involved in Saint John with the Business Community Anti-Poverty Initiative (BCAPI). I've also sat on the board of the Saint John Theatre Company and been involved with the Fundy Food Festival, Uptown Saint John's Paramount committee and the Church of St. Andrew and St. David's Abbey St. Andrew's housing development. Periodically I have instructed the Labour Law course at the Business Faculty of UNB Saint John.
