As numerous natural disasters and conflicts happen in the world, the risks for infectious diseases to spread are increasing. As an enthusiastic researcher in global health, I believe I have found the best way for me to be useful to the global community and to help the communities affected. After developing my quantitative skills as an MSc student in Biostatistics, I became a MRC Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) student studying epidemiology and statistics. The MRes in Global Health allowed me to improve new skills such as geospatial and infectious disease modelling and to broaden my research skills by taking part in multiple research projects. During my PhD, I joined the Drivers of Resistance in Uganda and Malawi (DRUM) consortium, a collaboration between UK universities and African institutes who aims to study AMR transmission in a One Health setting. My work focused on determining a suitable spatial sampling design for the DRUM sites in Uganda and Malawi and on investigating risk factors of AMR in these areas. I am now a researcher at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, South Korea.Aside from my work, growing up half-French half-Italian and sharing my time between two countries has given me a real love for travel and a passion for football.
