I have more than 20 years experience in the travel insurance industry. Previously, I worked at Trip Mate for just short of 18 years. When I first started my journey at Trip Mate, I joined the Customer Service team. After honing my customer service skills for approximately 2 years handling many different tasks and duties I moved to the Claims Department where I processed all travel claim types both prior to departure as well as during travel. Within approximately 3 years of my start in claims processing I was given the opportunity to handle emergency assistance cases, 24/7 every few weeks, for our travelers that were in need of emergency assistance while on their trip . During this time, I continued processing claims within the Claims Department and assisting wherever I was needed.In 2011 I was promoted to Claims Supervisor where I supervised a team of Customer Service and Claims Examiners of all levels ranging in count from 6 to 22 representatives over the years. During this time; I trained, audited, interviewed, set and monitored metrics, approved payroll and vacation time as well as many other various supervisor tasks. With my time at Trip Mate ending, I had been excited to continue my journey either within the same industry or venture out and experience something new. In August 2021 I started my next chapter with Arch Insurance, as a Senior Claims Examiner, with the travel insurance team and was promoted to Team Lead (Supervisor) within the same year.
