Mel is a tenured consultant in the IT and tax/accounting field. Over her career, she's consulted private and public organizations in virtually every US state. Some of her clients include the governments of Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Minnesota, and Georgia. Recently, she has delved into to the world of utility accounting and taxation, working with oil, gas, electric, and water companies to help transform their accounting and tax systems. Mel prides herself in translating tough, technical concepts into language that anyone can understand. This understanding has allowed her to consistently serve as a change agent in the companies and organizations she's worked with. Mel possesses a BA in International Relations (Economic Politics and Policy) where she learned why knowing someone’s language will never be replaced by Google Translate. She is completing a Master's Degree in Forensic and Fraud Examination (Accounting) and Business Data Analytics from West Virginia University and is set to graduate in the summer of 2024.
