Leads communications strategy and implementation for the Burnaby Division of Family Practice (BDFP), with a particular focus on the Burnaby Primary Care Networks (PCN). Works as an integral part of the PCN team, promoting community partnerships, allied health services, and collaborative initiatives while holding a broader strategic vision of communications across the PCN and BDFP brands. Ensure the development and dissemination of consistent, high quality, culturally-safe, and patient-centred materials to promote access to primary care in Burnaby. This includes, but is not limited to, communications for PCN allied health services, community resources, patient attachment, BDFP Shared Care projects, and PCN community initiatives.

Create and implement communications planning to support the activities of the Burnaby Primary Care Networks (PCN), including public-facing materials, both digital and print, to promote community projects, support community partners communications capacity, and to raise awareness of PCN services and community resources. Work closely with public health professionals and community service agencies to deliver clear and timely health information relevant to Burnaby residents. Develop internal communications tools and resources for Division staff and PCN allied health clinicians.

Produced and promoted community events, podcasts, and programs for SFU's Vancity Office of Community Engagement. Created, designed, and edited written and graphic content for digital and print publication. Managed the Office’s online presence through social media and website content. Created email campaigns to engage audiences around the Office’s public programming. Liaised with external partners and assisted with event management for performances, lectures, film screenings, and workshops. Maintained public archive of audio and video recordings of events. Conducted interviews, recorded, and edited audio content for the Office’s podcast, “Below the Radar.” Designed and produced the Office’s annual reports to stakeholders. Assisted with writing grants to support programming. Oversaw the Office’s co-op students and interns.*I had the pleasure of filling this role twice, first starting in May 2016, with a year-long break between July 2019 and August 2020.
