I am Melvin Brown a product of Starkville, Mississippi. I found my way to Nashville, TN after graduating from Mississippi College and working solely as an independent insurance agent. I then began working as a campaign manager with some of the country’s leading companies such as DirecTV, AT&T, Sprint, and Dish. With a mission to impact the community and urge change, I became responsible for bringing the Safelink program to the Greater Nashville Area, providing free lifeline support for those within the community whom were in need. While working hands-on with the people inside these poverty-stricken areas, a close friend and I noticed a need, for not only financial advice, but regulatory services that could be trusted within these neighborhoods. We then started UnifiedPrincipal, PLLC. The first minority owned brokerage in the state of Tennessee. Our job was to help find the funding and help them develop the best strategy to achieve financial freedom. My responsibilities directly included commercial, SBA and personal lending, business relationship forging, building teams and assuring product delivery across the UnifiedPrincipal footprint. There I focused especially on consumer and business lending, and community branch networking while partnering on the development of the company’s overall strategy; all the while maintaining a position with Cavalry Logistics, LLC as a logistics broker. At Cavalry I sold and monitored truck loads, built trucking carrier bases and developed strong relationships while maintaining customer satisfaction. Having a Bachelor’s in biological sciences I then felt the need to pursue pharmaceutical/medical sales. In December 2018 I finished a Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sales Training Program, where I obtained my CNPR certification; #648692018. Afterwards I attended and graduated from Medical Sales College specializing in extremities in Chicago, IL in May 2019. I am now currently a Sales Agent for Paragon28, INC.
