The Store Manager will be responsible for providing strong, positive, and pro-active leadership to his/her team and will be held accountable for “total Store” activities. -Recruite, hire, manage people development and maintain diversity on the front-end.-Responsible for finding diverse candidates from community and within Stop & Shop to fill store's hiring needs. -Oversee Front-end operations, Cash Office, and insure highest level of customer service. -Manage store community and customer relations; accountable for: scheduling and conducting interviews and involving other managers as appropriate-Coordinate orientation, new hire and department specific training with Central Training Program Coordinators-Follow up on associate development plan implementation and Associate Modular Training progress-Document front-end associate performance issues-Attend or coordinate job fairs-Analyze store turnover figures and develope action plans with appropriate department managers and or specialists-Counsel and coach associates-Resolve customer issues-Respond to donation requests-Attend and or coordinate local community events-Manage fund raising events and gift certificate program.
