Lenexa Medical is an Australian-based MedTech company that has developed the LenexaCARE technology to empower clinicians to deliver targeted, long-term solutions for personalised pressure injury prevention and patient monitoring. Pressure injuries are mostly preventable, however affect millions of people globally each year whilst costing healthcare systems billions of dollars worldwide. In 2020, Australian public hospitals spent over $9 billion to address the issue. The LenexaCARE system consists of an ultra-thin fabric with in-built sensing capabilities and smart software for detecting and monitoring patient position, posture, and presence. By providing clinicians with non-subjective data to monitor positioning and presence of patients over time, LenexaCARE allows decisions to be made based on an individual’s unique profile and history on the mattress.The novel LenexaCARE technology will not only reduce the cost associated with pressure injury treatments and bed stays, but more importantly help to ease the pain and suffering for patients and their families.

BioClub Innovation was established in September 2019 in the world’s most liveable city, Melbourne. The company has invested in, and incubated healthtech enterprises in Australia, while simultaneously leveraged its network and resources to assist these companies in entering the Chinese market. It also manages a venture fund which focuses on investment in cutting-edge medical technology and healthcare products, services and companies.I was initially recruited as a business development specialist, before taking on a Partner's position in December 2020. In this role, I have been responsible for building new markets for Australian medical product development start-ups across China, North and Southeast Asia. I have also played an active part in facilitating the journey of multiple global biotechs to conduct clinical trials in Australia, with a recent appointment to the role of non-executive director of a Shanghai-based biotech’s Australian subsidiary.

As an UprAsia specialist mentor, I am involved with a HealthTech Startup Accelerator that focuses on assisting their cohort participants on how to best implement appropriate strategies to enter the vibrant and growing Asian markets. The curriculum UprAsia provides forms a guided pathway for Health Technology and service Startups and businesses into Asian markets. ACTI is a new and unique business incubator providing access to the China healthcare market. The program is open to Australian companies in the MedTech and life sciences sector and is supported by a team with significant experience in start-up and business mentoring in Australia and China, including registering, launching and marketing medical devices, IVDs and innovation led products in both markets.

Planned and executed a digital marketing and promotion campaign of the events via our official WeChat and Twitter accounts.Planned and managed itinerary for incoming media presenters from Zhejiang Radio and TV Group for interviews with officials from State Government of Victoria, Austrade, clinical trials sites in Melbourne and BioClub Australia in Apr 2017.
