This position is responsible for establishing and supporting all functional aspects of Purchasing / Materials Management at STI Components.

Manage all aspects of the strategic sourcing of projects consisting of cross functional and regional teams including strategy development, supply market analysis, RFP creation and analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation. Responsible for the review of internal client requests and converting requisitions to purchase orders, solicit & evaluate proposals. Develop working relationships w/suppliers and internal clients. Oversee preparation and dissemination for information regarding contract status, compliance and changes. Sourcing and procuring equipment that meets end user specifications. Implement and maintain cost saving initiatives. Negotiate, review, and manage contracts ensuring optimal level of costs and services are achieved and maintained. Introduce new and innovative ideas for goods and services. Manage on-site suppliers (Contractors). Responsible for developing and implementing solutions to Procurement issues as they arise, as well as advising senior procurement management of the issues. Analyze current and potential suppliers in assigned commodities. Ensures that all the legal and company policy obligations are met. Manage blanket orders for services and goods. Serve a minimum of 10 hours per week on Customer Service Help Desk. Perform procurement duties as assigned or requested.

Skilled Purchasing Ops. Specialist responsible for Indirect Procurement and Capital projects related to the following commodities: cGMP Manufacturing, Information Technologies (IT), Facilities, Office Equipment/Supplies, Outside Services i.e. Scientific Journal Subscriptions, and other commodities as assigned.
