Operating underground longwall mining operation nearing end of life and increasing/extending longevity of existing equipment and aging infrastructure to achieve extended mining operations. Preparing and planning for mine closure and end of operational life activities.Capital and major operational expenditure projects overseen; From scoping, design and technical/commercial feasibility and justification to planning, support, execution and operational implementation; mining and conveying equipment overhauls, equipment performance and longevity upgrades (life extensions), plant capital purchases, underground transfer and surface material handling infrastructure structural remediation and overhaul projects, innovative and R&D mining technique trials and equipment adaptation, LW moves, conveyor installs.

Ravensworth Open Cut Mine

Statutory and operational responsibility for engineering, maintenance and projects at a large open cut mining operation; All aspects from mobile/field plant through to workshop and coal handling and crushing facilities and associated mining infrastructure.Scoping, project delivery and transition of engineering and maintenance operations from an existing operation to a temporary facility and subsequent delivery and integration of a fully operational brownfield expansion project. Capital and major operational expenditure projects. Accountability from scoping, design and technical/commercial feasibility and justification to planning, execution and operational implementation; New mining equipment fleet purchases, purchase and importation of used South American mining equipment and adaptation and overhaul for Australian operations, infrastructure upgrades, pumping and fire infrastructure, in-pit dewatering and water management, bin structural remediations, conveying system upgrades, integration of new infrastructure, equipment and personnel into the ongoing operation as part of a major brownfield site expansion etc.

Procurement of a new fleet of equipment from technical specification through to contract development and delivery. Working across NSW mine sites to drive and facilitate the development of equipment maintenance strategies and reliability improvements. Ran the work order management standardisation project across all NSW operations.

Development of suitable product conceptual designs to meet customer and market needs. Primarily feasibility and concept stages followed by commissioning and performance verifications.
