The overarching goal of my PhD research is understanding the neurobiology of alcohol. I've specifically focused on how the dorsal striatum is involved in binge and compulsive alcohol drinking using preclinical models. I've developed skillsets in behavioral data collection, stereotaxic surgery, microinjection, viral infusion, in-vivo electrophysiology, manuscript writing , grant writing (F31 Predoctoral Fellowship 1F31AA029273-01A1), data analysis, and project management.
